About 63% of US applicants have already been interviewed by an AI system. Most were never taught how to handle it.

The AI Interview Coach gives you an interactive way to rehearse questions out loud and review your answers before the real thing.

That 63% figure comes from a Greenhouse survey reported by Axios in August 2026. The same report found that 38% of applicants said they had walked away from a job because it included an AI interview.

You can choose to opt out. But if you want the job, it helps to know how to do well, because these interviews work differently from a conversation with a person.

Six rules for AI and one-way interviews

1. Treat the camera like a person. Look at the lens, not your own face on the screen, and smile at the start.

2. Structure every answer. Software scores structure well. Use a clear beginning, middle and end.

❝

Reliable structure: "Short answer first. Then one example. Then the result and what you learned."

3. Say the keywords naturally. If the job posting mentions a tool, skill or outcome, mention it in your own words where it is true.

4. Watch the clock. Many platforms give you 60 to 120 seconds. Practice answers of about 90 seconds.

5. Do not read from notes. A few bullet points are fine. A script sounds robotic and you lose eye contact.

6. Practice out loud, more than once. Answers that feel fine in your head fall apart when spoken. Rehearsing is the biggest difference between candidates.

Practice before it counts

The best preparation is hearing yourself answer. Record yourself, or use the AI Interview Coach to rehearse and review. If you also want the full list of questions to practice with, the Interview-to-Offer Playbook includes 500 of them, plus a STAR story workbook.
